Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Where are you located? Do you have a storefront?
A: We are a home bakery in compliance with the Colorado Cottage Food Act. We've taken food safety courses, and operate in our personal kitchen. Learn more about the Colorado Cottage Food Act.
Q: Are you able to ship?
A: At this time we are unable to ship, as it is not allowed under the Colorado Cottage Food Act. We are working toward a dedicated commercial space, which will allow us to ship. Stay tuned!
Q: Where do you deliver?
A: We deliver across Denver and suburb. We are able to drive further with advance notice. Contact us for more information about delivery outside of Denver.
Q: When do you deliver?
A: We deliver on Saturdays. We build each week's schedule based on completion of orders, so we ask that orders be placed and paid for as early as possible (one to two weeks in advance, or more) to ensure your preferred delivery time. Please check our schedule before ordering.
Q: How much is delivery?
A: A Denver Metro flat rate fee of $7.50 is applied to every order upon checkout. There is an additional fee for mid-week orders, orders to be delivered outside the Denver metro, and rush orders. Contact us for a delivery quote.
Q: Can I pick up my order?
A: We invite you to order at least one week ahead, then schedule a pick up in Littleton (Ken Caryl) from 10-6 each Friday. Enter code PICKUP upon checkout to delete your delivery fee when choosing this option. Please check our schedule before ordering.
Q: Can you substitute ingredients, or create a recipe for me?
A: We are unable to adapt recipes, or create new recipes at this time. Baking is chemistry, and allergen-free baking even more so.
Q: Do you make custom cakes and character cakes?
A: We are able to create custom cakes when allowed ample time. Contact us with your vision at least two weeks ahead of your event, as planning and creating custom cakes takes extensive time. We will email you a few options and corresponding quotes within three days. Custom cakes require a higher volume of our signature ingredients, or specialized ingredients, and extra time to plan and execute. For these reasons, we ask that you pay for your order two weeks in advance.
Q: How long do your desserts last? Can I freeze them?
A: We do not use preservatives in our baked goods, and advise eating them within a week. Most of our items are available in small quantities to help with the short shelf life. Our cakes tend to dry out in the freezer, but we have had success with freezing them for up to two weeks. Pies must be kept chilled. Breakfast Cakes, Muffins, and Cinnamon Rolls do fine sitting on the counter. Cakes and cupcakes will last longer if refrigerated. Our frostings will melt in heat.
Q: Are your desserts organic, and non-GMO?
A: While we do try to use organic and non-GMO ingredients, our first priority is safety from the top food allergens in manufacturing and packaging. There are some amazing organic ingredients on the market that use shared equipment with top allergens. In such cases, we will go with non-organic choices from companies who have safer manufacturing facilities and practices. We disclose all of our supply companies.
